A home inspection is an objective visual examination of the structure, systems and components of a home - from the foundation to the roof. While a home cannot fail an inspection, it's components can. A home inspection provides you with an independent and unbiased opinion as to the condition of the property at the time of the inspection.
An inspector typically spends between two to three hours, (sometimes more depending on the size and condition of the property), evaluating a home and may recommend further evaluation if problems or symptoms are discovered. What is a Wind Mitigation inspection?
Wind Mitigation inspections were created by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) to verify certain features of a home which aid in the resistance of hurricane related damages. Your insurance company is required to provide you with discounts on your hurricane premium if your home is proven to contain one or more of these features. Some of these features include:

How much will I save?
Of the 30,000+ inspections we have performed in the state of Florida, the average savings on homeowner policies is around 20% of the annual premium. Additionally, the inspection reports completed by TEI inspectors are valid for up to five (5) years, which means you can keep a copy of your form in case you would like to shop around for better insurance quotes!
